Laosi City Ruins Park is located in Laosi City village, Lingxi town, more than 20 kilometers east of Yongshun county, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao autonomous prefecture.
Laosi City Ruins Park was the political, economic, military and cultural center of Peng Chieftain in Yongshun from the fifth year of Shaoxing (1135) in southern Song dynasty to the sixth year of Yongzheng (1724) in Qing dynasty. Laosicheng is the physical carrier of the chieftain system and a living specimen of the development of regional ethnic autonomy system in ancient China.
In 2010, the Laosi City site was included in the first batch of national archaeological site park project list in China, and in 2015 it was included in the world cultural heritage list,the visitor center and the site museum are decorated with Taohuajiang outdoor anticorrosive bamboo wall panels and native white bamboo poles. The designer gives full play to the simplicity and heaviness of bamboo, which perfectly interprets the historical accumulation of Laosi City, and makes the modern architecture and historical relics to co-exist harmoniously.
